This 10-week film series gives dancers hands-on training in dancing for camera versus stage. Unlike stage performance, the camera captures intimacy and detail, allowing small, intentional movement to have big impact. Dancers will work with two choreographers, Dawson Lloyd and KINAJ, each creating a unique movement experience and artistic vision focusing on contemporary choreography. Weekly rehearsals take place every Saturday from 12:00–1:30 PM, focusing on technique, storytelling, and camera awareness. Each choreographer will work with you for 4 sessions to create a piece. Throughout the program, dancers will rehearse and film two separate dance films, gaining professional on-camera experience and final footage for reels or portfolios. This series is ideal for dancers ready to train, create, and expand their artistic voice on film.
